1. Summary

TemClean is a local-only utility. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. We do not track you, we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your data.

All scanning and cleaning happens on your Mac, only inside folders you explicitly grant access to.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

  • No account required — no name, email, or password collected.
  • No files are uploaded to our servers. File names and sizes are read only to show you what is using space.
  • No browsing history, location, contacts, or financial data collected.

3. Data Processed Locally (On-Device Only)

When you grant access (via the system folder picker), the app:

  • Reads folder listings and file information (size and date) for your files only, in locations like ~/Library/Caches, ~/Library/Logs, ~/Downloads/.TemporaryItems, ~/Library/Containers, ~/Library/Developer data, and ~/.Trash.
  • Shows you how much space is used and how much is free.

This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us or any third party.

Files you choose to clean are moved to Trash (recoverable) — not permanently deleted by our servers.

4. Permissions

  • Files and Folders: Access requires your explicit approval via the system picker. You can revoke access at any time in System Settings.
  • Network: Used only for App Store purchases. No file content is sent over the network.
  • Disk Space: Used only to show free and used space on your Mac.

5. In-App Purchases

If you use “Support with a coffee” or “Lifetime Supporter”:

  • Purchases are processed directly by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
  • Available as small “coffee” contributions (consumable) or a one-time “Lifetime Supporter” (unlocks supporter status). No lottery or random rewards.
  • Verification happens securely on-device. No purchase data is stored on our servers.

6. Third Parties

  • No analytics.
  • No advertising SDKs.
  • No embedded web trackers. The only external link is to our website (https://s19i.com), which opens in your system browser.

7. Data Retention

Because we do not collect data on a server, there is nothing to retain or delete server-side. Local preferences remain on your Mac until you uninstall the app or reset them.

8. Children’s Privacy

TemClean is rated 4+ (no objectionable content, no chat, no user-generated content). It does not knowingly collect data from children, as it collects no data from anyone.

9. Security

All operations respect the macOS App Sandbox. We do not access system files, other users’ home directories, or network shares.

10. Your Rights

Since no personal data is collected, there is no data to access, correct, or delete on our servers. For any privacy question, contact us and we will respond within 7 days.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the Effective Date above and publish the new version at https://s19i.com/apps/temclean/privacy and in this repository.
